Shepparton's Victoria Park Lake Revamped

Shepparton's Victoria Park Lake is set to undergo a multi-million dollar redevelopment. The Greater Shepparton Council has adopted a plan to improve the lake, which includes a wetland to help water quality and a canoe and rowing course. The initial project will cost between $6 and $7 million and the whole redevelopment could cost up to $25 million. Deputy Mayor Kevin Ryan says work will be done as funding becomes available and it is important to get the project right the first time. "But I do ask the people to be a little bit patient with this because we want to do it once and do it properly instead of being a burden on future councils." The plan is on public display for three weeks.
